Situation

A prominent local dental office was planning on moving to a new, purpose built location to better serve their customers. Since their existing technology setup was on the older side, they wanted to take the opportunity to update all of their IT hardware; which meant a total upgrade of networking gear and computer equipment. 

 

As they were designing the space themselves, they also needed help mapping out their networking requirements to connect their server and 18+ connected computers and server. Southampton provided a blueprint for their technical needs to make sure the new building was connected both wired and wirelessly.

Solution

Through consultations and site visits, Southampton was able to develop a network configuration and equipment mix that would meet their day to day business needs. 

 

We also provided a complete secure infrastructure upgrade that included:

 

  • Firewall (i.e., antivirus for the network)

  • Server

  • Workstations

  • Network cabinet

  • Network wiring requirements

  • Wireless internet throughout the building

  • Segregated wireless networks for employees and guests

  • Installed monitors, mounts and computers throughout clinic 

 

Southampton prepared the equipment offsite to expedite the install process onsite. We worked with the internet provider to ensure connectivity and then tested all equipment configurations once onsite and installed. We installed all their orthodontic software that runs their scheduling and patient information.

 

The dental office was able to offer secure connectivity for the office staff, while offering open connectivity for guests of the office. All data was also secured on premise with offsite backup solution for easy disaster recovery if needed.

Results

Moving from one location to another can be stressful enough, the last thing our dental office client wanted was to worry about what technology he needed. Southampton was able to provide an entire new IT solution for the office. 

 

In the end the move was seamless. We successfully moved the office from the old location to a new location with minimal downtime.

 

This customer was very pleased with the project and Southampton continue to support the the company through server monitoring, antivirus, Microsoft products and desktop support for user issues.
